Founded in 1970 by Newark native Patrick M. Calello (Pat), the agency began as a family-run Real Estate Sales Office, where local residents could receive personal service from Pat, his father, Pasquale, and his brother Sam. In the mid 90s, Pat was joined by his wife, Diane, and son, Patrick J Calello (P.J.), who eventually took the helm in 2003.

The Calello family is very proud of its Newark roots and continued connection to the Newark community. Over the years, they’ve expanded their business and now specialize in the rehabilitation and management of market rate and affordable housing.

Calello Agency views each of their properties as an extension of who they are and a testament to their support of Newark’s ongoing revitalization efforts.  Unlike many of their competitors, they consider the maintenance and modernization of their apartments to be a responsibility, not a requirement.
